Hallway, stairs and landing redecoration in Woolwich
The hallway, stairs and a long first-floor landing in a Woolwich house redecorated in September 2025, with the banisters, dado rails and doors picked out in white gloss.
- LocationWoolwich Common, Woolwich (Greenwich), SE18
- PropertyHouse with a long first-floor landing
- PhotographedSeptember 2025
- Estimated cost£900 to £1,800 + VAT

The starting point
Halls, stairs and landings take the most wear in any house, and this one was long, with several doors, a dado rail on both levels and a run of spindles. The brief was a clean, hard-wearing finish across all of it.
What we did
- Walls and ceilings repainted through the hallway, stairwell and landing.
- Dado rails, skirting and door frames finished in white gloss.
- Spindles, handrail and newel posts repainted.

How long it took
The finished hallway, stairs and landing were all photographed on 29 September 2025. There are no earlier photos of this job, so we do not quote a duration.
What this job would cost at 2026 London rates
Estimated from the photographed scope, not the client's invoice
| Item | What the photos show | Estimate (ex VAT) |
|---|---|---|
| Hall, stairs and landing | Walls, ceilings, rails, spindles and door frames | £900 to £1,800 |
| Estimated total | £900 to £1,800 | |
Benchmark: £600 to £1,200 to decorate a hall, stairs and landing (Checkatrade, MyBuilder, MyJobQuote 2026), increased here because this landing is longer than average with more doors and woodwork. Typical London market ranges, not fixed Soraiz Builders prices.
