Studio flat refit in Deptford
A Deptford studio flat refitted over two and a half weeks in May 2025: a refreshed shower room with a new basin unit, work on the electric shower, a slatted feature wall, new lighting, furniture assembly and decoration.

The starting point
The studio needed bringing up to a standard ready for a new occupant: the shower room was dated, the electric shower needed attention, and the main room needed a lift.
What we did
- Shower room. The electric shower was opened up and worked on, and a new walnut-effect basin unit with a countertop basin and a round mirror went in.
- Feature wall. Slatted wood panels fitted behind the bed against a dark painted wall.
- Electrics. New light fittings, including in the entrance hall.
- Furnishing and decoration. Wardrobe and drawers assembled, and the walls and woodwork repainted.

How long it took
The photos run from 8 May 2025, when the electric shower was opened up, through the lighting and feature wall on 11 and 12 May, to the finished shower room and furniture on 20 to 23 May. About two and a half weeks of visits, not continuous days on site.

Slat panels: £35 to £80 per 1.44 m² panel plus £15 to £25 per m² fitting (Walls and Floors 2026). Lighting: half a day of a London electrician at £280 to £450 a day.
