Rates are London rates, so they slightly overstate costs in Watford. Chevron is laid and priced like herringbone (both are pattern-laid from angle-cut boards), so herringbone rates are used: £25 to £45 per m² labour plus £25 to £50 per m² for LVT herringbone (Flooring Surgeons, Trade2Base 2026), plus underlay and trims. Kitchen: the cosmetic tier of £8,000 to £15,000 from our Kitchen Renovation Cost guide, ex VAT. The tiled kitchen floor is not priced separately.
