Flat roof edge repair in Wealdstone
A failed flat roof edge in Wealdstone, where the felt had lifted and the timber had rotted, cut back and repaired with a reinforced liquid membrane in January 2026.
- LocationWealdstone (Harrow), HA3
- PropertyHouse with a flat roof section
- PhotographedJanuary 2026
- Estimated cost£600 to £1,400 + VAT

The starting point
On 9 January 2026 the edge of the flat roof had lifted away completely. The edge trim had come loose, the felt had peeled back and the timber underneath was rotten and open to the weather. Left like that, every rainfall would run straight into the structure.
What we did
- The failed felt was cut back to sound material and the area cleaned and prepared.
- The damaged edge was rebuilt and a new edge sealed in.
- A reinforced liquid membrane was laid over the repair and lapped onto the existing roof.
- A final coat was applied and the repair checked again later in the month.
