Flat roof re-covering over a rear extension in Wealdstone

The flat roof over a Wealdstone rear extension stripped and re-covered in six days in February 2026, with the water-damaged plaster inside patched once the roof was watertight.

  • LocationWealdstone (Harrow), HA3
  • PropertyHouse with a flat-roofed rear extension
  • PhotographedFebruary 2026
  • Estimated cost£2,150 to £4,600 + VAT
The new covering finished, with clean edges and upstands, Wealdstone

The starting point

The earliest photos at this address, from May 2025, show the roofline where the rear extension meets the main house, with a rotten fascia and a broken corrugated section along one edge. By February 2026 the flat roof covering over the extension had failed, and water had got in: inside, the plaster on one wall had blown and crumbled.

What we did

  • The old covering and rotten timber were stripped off and bagged for removal.
  • The roof was cleared and prepared for the new covering.
  • A new covering was laid across the whole roof, dressed up the walls of the main house and finished with clean edges.
  • Once the roof was watertight, the damp-damaged plaster inside was cut back, patched and made good.
